There is a secret easter egg buried in one of these here nerdcore comics. If you read Pirate Jesus, you already know this. But you don't know that now there are now several. Okay, now you do.

I hope this comic works. I stayed up very late when I wrote the script, and pounded every once of humor I could into it. There's puns, a mixed metaphor, metahumor, and standard vaudeville idiocy. The blocking was a bit difficult, especially when you have to place characters in such a way that their speech balloons are in a good order, and don't block too much background stuff.

I'm going to comment on some background stuff here even though I should probably let the comics speak for themselves. Many of the titles used in nerdcore are names given to clerics of certain gods. For instance we've already seen that Clerics of Zuul are called Warlocks, while Clerics of Ael are called Rabbis. Other titles, such as Summoner and Technomancer, are used for specialists in certain schools of magic. Of course there are non-magical titles as well, such as Serving Wench.

Also, if you don't play D&D, you might not know that Beholders (being the species that the Detective belongs to) need to ritually blind their large center eye in order to become mages. This is because the large eye emits a kind of anti-magic ray. Beholders are a trademark of WotC, and aren't considered to be open content, but I'm a pirate. Plus everybody's doing it.
